ET&T Hot Seat With Keisha-Maria Charles

Keisha Marie Charles is the fresh, young host of Synergy’s De Scene. The part-time model still finds the time to do runway shows, photo shoots and advertisements. She has competed in the Trinidad and Tobago Miss Universe pageant twice by the request of the pageant director, but says that, the previous entry was her last. Now she sets her sights on hosting the short segment which is basically a top-ten video countdown that appears on Synergy TV every night at 6:00p.m. We were able to have chat with Keisha where she revealed among other things that she’s in a relationship (sorry guys).

 

 

ETNT: What makes you blush?

K-M C: Hmmm….when somebody smiles at me. They have to be real cute…..I’m an easy blusher lol

 

ETNT: Most embarrassing moment?

K-M C: I have so many. I have never really thought about it……..

 

ETNT: O.K, well tell me your least, most embarrassing moment?

K-M C: O.K I went completely blank at a pageant on stage about 2 or 3 years ago and that’s the least embarrassing so…..imagine that!!! Lol.

ETNT: Single, married, it’s complicated?

K-M C: I have a boyfriend.

ETNT: When was your first kiss?

K-M C: Hmmmmm……oh my…..hmmm…..I can’t remember and I don’t think I want to remember, it wasn’t that great.

ETNT: As a model, have you ever been involved in any backstage wars with other models?

K-M C: Nope, never. I have never seen anything and I have never been involved in anything.

ETNT: Do you argue about what you have to wear and what you want to wear?

K-M C: No….whatever I have to wear I’ll wear; you need to rock what you’re given.

ETNT: When covering events, if a guy approaches you to dance, will you?

K-M C: Maybe for little while not to make them feel like I’m stuck up or anything, but I also need to be professional. At the end of it you just need to know how to play around the situation or just balance it off so that people know that you have a personality, but you are also professional.

ETNT: So as Buffy say, “man wining on anything, woman wining on anything”, you wining on anything?

K-M C: I does wine on anything…..lol….the thing is when. Lol.

ETNT: Who in the industry do you have a crush on?

K-M C: Hmmm…my boyfriend

ETNT: So your boyfriend is in the entertainment industry too?

K-M C: Yes he is….he’s a model.

ETNT: And you want to tell us who he is?

K-M C: Ummm…no!!! Lol.

ETNT: Have you ever dated anyone in the industry?

K-M C: No

ETNT: So your Boyfriend was the first?

K-M C: Yes.

ETNT: Ever got star-struck before?

K-M C: Hmmm…Lemme think. I wouldn’t say ‘star-struck’, but I was nervous. It actually happened recently; I covered the boxing event last Saturday with Ria Ramnarine and Fay-Ann Lyons and it was just different. Like being in her presence was like WOW….like this woman is so empowering.

ETNT: Was it hard for you to break into the modeling world?

K-M C: I wouldn’t say it was hard it just took a lot of preparing and discipline. Like I had to prepare my body, getting my body in order and knowing how to act, doing long photo shoots, getting along with different personalities. I think that’s the most important thing, but it wasn’t too hard.

ETNT: Do people in the industry flirt with you?

K-M C: I think everybody in the industry flirts….lol…..it comes with the territory, but I don’t take it seriously. Not much to say on that.
