Russell Leonce’s Album “Culture of Love” Wins

Russell Leonce’s Album “Culture of Love” Wins in the Vox Pop Poll of the Independent Music Awards (IMAs).

Following closely on the heels of winning the Gospel Category in the Independent Music Awards in January 2010, and garnering ten (10) nominations in the 2010 Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards, Russell Leonce’s Culture of Love was the winner in the 9th IMA Vox Pop Poll, the annual fan-determined portion of the awards.

Between January and June 2010, Music Fans from around the world voted online for their favorite self-released and independent label artistes from the 250 IMA nominees.  Russell Leonce’s Culture of Love was one of the winners who garnered the nod from both the industry judging panel and fans.

The IMA Executive Director, Martin Folkman, says that “The Vox Pop award is one of the many ways the program motivates fans to discover and support an incredible roster of talent. All IMA honorees receive marketing and sales support, Vox Pop winners have the added satisfaction that their art inspired fans to act."

Culture of Love which was released in March 2009, was produced by Cleon Richardson and Keith Kirk.  Russell again extends his heartfelt thanks to Cleon and Keith for their hard work and investment, to Christophe for his unstinting support and to all persons around the world for their encouragement.
